Believers moving in the anointing will break cultural and personal limitations and barriers. The anointing 
is a very vital aspect of the believer’s life and ministry. The anointing brings into our lives the victories, the accomplishments and dimensions that we could not have had otherwise. ….1Chron 14:8-17.
Effects of Anointing
The anointing is for challenge: The enemies will rise from all quarters to challenge God’s anointing on our lives. When God approves us, He will anoint and empower us to deal with the enemy. We must not be intimidated when we are challenged by sin, sickness and satanic forces.
The anointing releases faith and boldness: As a young man, David understood the effect of anointing on his life; he knew that divine activity of God was upon his life daily after being anointed by the prophet Samuel. The spirit of God was increasing mightily upon him….1Sam 17:34-36, 1sam 16:13, Dan 11;32.
The anointing puts us into the flow of revelation knowledge: The revelation of God’s plans, purpose and strategies comes to us as we learn to yield to the Holy Spirit’s move within us…1Chron 12:32
The anointing brings us supernatural breakthroughs: Breakthrough don’t just come because of the sovereign act of God alone but because when we allow the Holy Spirit dwelling in us to move freely in us and through us.
The anointing brings not only divine release but also divine restraint: There must be a continual death to self in order to know the resurrection power of God. God wants us to be continually dependent on Him and not on our past experiences or to dwell in the confidence of the past victories.
The anointing helps us to become more sensitive to the spirit realm: It helps us to know God’s timing and directions. The anointing helps us to gauge the spiritual atmosphere and climate of a place. Such ability gives us an advantage so that we can build into the spirit world. The anointing through the gift of the discerning of spirits is an essential ingredient that helps us become builders in the spirit realm….1Cor 12:10
The anointing will bring success, growth and influence: God desires us to be successful and wants us to impact a city and influence nations. God ultimate desire is that ‘all the families of the earth will be blessed through us”. God has chosen us to bring His government over the peoples of the land…Gen 12:2-3
Two Dimensions of Anointing:
Gen 7:11. The first dimension is that the fountains of the deep must be burst open while the second dimension is when the floodgates of the sky are opened.
1. The Believers Anointing: The fountains of the deep refers to the anointing of God within us, which I refer to as The Believer’s Anointing. The believer’s anointing is the spirit-life that is released through the Holy Spirit activity upon the human spirit and it resident there. This is the anointing that comes into the life of the believer, all this activity within us is to form the “ Christ in us”1Jhn 2:27, Jhn 14;17, 20:21-22.
2. The Specific Anointing: The floodgates of the sky is the out pouring of the Holy Ghost upon us. The specific anointing is the anointing that comes through the Endowment of the Holy Ghost because of the gifts and callings upon the believer. When the Holy Ghost gives His gift to the believer, specific anointing are also given for its empowerment and effectiveness. This anointing is given with greater measures for specific callings and is released when a believer is called into a ministry functions or task…Jhn 3;34, Eph 4:11-13., 1 Cor 12;28.
